There are times in a person's life when they gain knowledge of something they wish they hadn't. Being the victim of a cheating boyfriend is one of those times.
In today's day and age family values are at an all time low, with the average relationship standing only a fifty percent chance of surviving infidelity. The numbers are staggering!
Fifty percent does seem high, and when I saw it I had the same reaction you're probably having right nowdisbelief. I then went on to research that there are only a small minority of people who actually do something about it.
You made it this far so it's probably fair to deduce that we share some of the same qualities. These are common fibers that seem prominent amongst people with dignity and at the very least a desire to recapture that fleeting self esteem.
It's an emotional roller-coaster. But this roller-coaster isn't scary in the conventional analogy. This is that roller-coaster at the annual state fair that you are terrified for your physical safety. You are scared for your life that it will fall apart and ultimately end in your demise.
We often tend to worry about things for long periods of time waiting to take action. We often don't know what we're waiting for. We wait so long that each day that passes only increases the anxiety and the fear of the unknown.
TAKE CHARGE! This is the only life you get. You have the power (at least you did at one time). Take control again, regain your confidence and begin living your life again.
- Coming home later than usual on a more regular basis. Even an hour or two later every night should be enough to make you suspicious. This is a very obvious signs of a cheating boyfriend.
- Your once raging sex life has all but completely disappeared.
- History has a habit of repeating itself. Check your boyfriends relationship history. Look for both consistencies and inconsistencies. And if he does have a historydon't count on him changing, Trust me.
- He can't look you in the eye? This is a major clue. Then when you ask him why he gets really angry. Guilt can be a funny thing. It takes control and makes the signs easy to read.
- Hair evidence. Found any hair lately that doesn't quite match any hair that should be in your man's radius? This is another one of those signs of a cheating boyfriend that is taken for granted.
- Paper Trail. Yes, conduct this step "Watergate Style". Have you noticed any recent purchases from your favorite jewelry store, waited as all of the relevant gift giving holidays have passed and no gift?
- How about that email account? Better yet how about that computer? Anything look different? Cleaned up? Locked? Questionable MySpace surprises? Just got that intuition us women often get?
- This is an obvious one, the easiest one to catch, but the most overlooked. It's simple, if he won't let you see his phone or gets nervous when you look at ityou know it's time to do some investigating.
- Do you find inconsistency in his stories and his friend's stories. Men aren't the best at communicating to begin with, try getting them to tell the same lie in perfect unison.
- Do you feel like your doing all the work in the relationship without any effort from your significant other. If he shows this sign of a cheating boyfriend, even if he's not cheatingget rid of him! You deserve better.
***Warning*** We still have to build a solid case against our suspect. Any attempt at questioning now will only hurt our chances of gathering concrete evidence! As women we often think we have more than enough evidence yet since we cannot predict how our potential scum-bag of a boyfriend will answer, we must be prepared and satisfied with our evidence to avoid any untrue responses/excuses.
